The Poland Pavilion was awarded a Silver Award for the most creative presentation on the Shanghai EXPO 2010.

According to the jury the Polish exposition was in an innovative way expanding on the main motto of the Shanghai EXPO: “Better city, better life”.

Before the start of the EXPO the Poland Pavilion was classified by the organisers among the 20 most interesting national pavilions. The project of the building was created by Natasza Paszkowska, Marcin Mostafa and Wojciech Kakowski from the architecture studio WWAA.

This year’s EXPO finished on October 31st. During the six moths between May and October, the World Exposition was visited by 73 million people. The Poland Pavilion - according to the organisers of EXPO - was one of the most popular ones. This fact is confirmed by the record high number of guests - over 8 million.
